Intel Core i3-4130 Review | 3.4 GHz,Intel HD Graphics 4400

The fourth generation Intel Haswell CPU's has been a major upgrade from Intel featuring a range of Core processors manufactured in its all new 22 nm architecture. The small die size makes the processor very energy efficient and less vulnerable to heat problems.

As usual the Intel Core lineup are the i3, i5 and the i7 processors and we are here to review the baseline core i3 4130 processor which is among the cheapest i3 Haswell CPU's .

Intel has done a major update to it's Core i3 processors in the Haswell series.Inside the Core i3-4130 there are two core running at 3.4 GHz.The processor has a cache memory of 3MB which is not a bad thing. One of the best features Intel has implemented in the i3-4130 is the new Intel HD Graphics 4400.It is not as powerful as a dedicated graphics or Intel Iris Pro graphics but it does its job well.We ran NFS Most Wanted 2 and Crysis 2 in Ultra Settings with 1GB Graphics Enabled with 8 GB of RAM.The processor managed to give a decent graphics but the fps was a little disappointing. But with a dedicated graphics any game runs smoothly. The processor also supports Intel Hyperthreading technology,so many memory intensive application will be fast and responsive.

So overall the Core i3-4130 is a fantastic CPU for the price. You are getting a decent amount of clock speed and Integrated Graphics. So if you are planning to build a budget Gaming PC,the Core i3-4130 is the best choice.
